Wow, what a fantastic weekend.
The Parkinsons Ride team did not let heavy rain spoil their time at this years Sundown Festival, taking every minute of the day to raise funds and aweness for young people with Parkinsons.
Every body who came to help did their bit with volunteers coming from Cornwall, Bristol, Worcester and Norwich all helping out. In the end, all the hard work paid off as we raised a massive £3780. We have been collecting at Sundown for five years now and this is by far the most successful weekend we have had.
Whether you gave a penny or a pound it all helps and I would like to send you all a special thank you as all the money raised will go to helping those with Parkinsons.
It does not matter if you where in a suit, cooking, collecting money or pulling funny faces - there is no i in team and I could not have done it with out you. Special thanks goes out to Nigel and his team at SSY Guarding for making it possible for us to get involved. Also to Andy at Mr Plastics LTD and Mark from Courtesy Taxis for their sponsorship and continued support. Most of all though thank you once again to those that came and visited our stall, regardless of whether you donated or not.
I look forward to doing it all over again next year but until then,
Take care, be strong and always keep fighting.
